So I am sure by now all of us know about Cerave. The tik tok skincare craze of 2020, but I am here to give you my honest opinion about it.
I love it for the most part.
Some of the products like the Cerave Moisturizing Cream is amazing and I wish I could buy it by the gallon. But then there is the moisturizers with sunscreen and I just cant stand those. But before I get to ahead of myself let me explain the pros of this brand and some of their products.
Pros
They are dermatologist recommended. This is very important when choosing which brand of skincare to use. When its recommended that means a dermatologist has said "yes this skincare is good to use on the skin", if a product says test, that does not mean its recommended. Keep that in mind when trying to find a skincare routine.
It does not leave my skin feeling oily or like I have a thick layer of goop on my face.
Its non-comedogenic which in normal people words means it does not clog your pores. (yayyyyy)
They have good beginner anti-aging skincare products that are not to harsh.
Cons
EVERYONE BUYS IT BECAUSE OF TIKTOK. I know I should be happy for the brand butttt not I have to stock up on product so if I run out I have my moisturizer!!
Some of the products can smell chemically. And what I mean by that is the moisturizer that has the sunscreen just smells wayyyyy to strong for me.

Cerave Moisturizing Cream: 18.99 on amazon
This cream is amazing for all over hydration. It is best for people with dryer skin who need a thicker cream or for anyone who prefers heavier creams over lotions. I personally love this for winter months because of how dry and cracked my skin gets. It helps me keep 24hrs hydration without over moisturizing.
Cerave Daily Moisturizing lotion: 17.78 on amazon
This lotion is great for daily use on the face. Mix it with your favorite sunscreen and your set for life. This product is perfect for the summer months when were sweating a little bit more and do not want to feel slimy throughout the day. Personally love using this at night as well because I find it works well after chemical peels to keep the skin well hydrated.
Cerave Hydrating Facial Cleanser: 14.53 on amazon
This face wash was my go to for YEARS. Still is actually if I am trying to be more pocket friendly. I love this product because it does not strip my skin so I do not feel like my skin is about to rip apart. It does not smell weird (weird smell is important to me). It rubs on sooooo smoothly like butter. And last but not least its a great product that does not break the bankl!!
Cerave Skin Renewing Retinol Serum: 16.99 on amazon
We all know how important it is to start anti-aging routine young. That's why I recommend this product! Its not to harsh meaning there isn't a high percentage of retinol in it that can otherwise cause skin irritation and other complications. It is on the more inexpensive side so you don't have to worry about using it a lot. It actually works!! I try and use it 3 times a week at the very least after doing a high frequency facial. This product has made my skin glowwwwww and smooth out all of my skincare concerns. Now this isn't going to make your skin snap back like it was when you were 15 but let me tell you, it helps. Now I will say be careful using this during the day because retinol does exfoliate the skin it can cause sun sensitivity. If you happen to use this product during the day USE SUNSCREEN. This will help prevent any dark sports or skin damage from happening.
